Learner's Insights

Rehearse for success! Prepare for our online classes with the right practice! 💡

Make the most out of our online classes through advanced reading ✏️

We want the Good Future Club to prepare you for success, no matter your career prospect. And our classes at EZ English Club will make sure you’re equipped as an English speaker before you venture in the wild, exciting world of tech!

Here’s how you can prepare for our classes effectively:

  • Study the topic: We’ll provide a general rundown of what our teachers will tackle in their classes for the week, so this should give you time to study the topic in advance!

  • Draft key points: Try asking your teacher if they already have a topic prepped for their next class. If so, try asking if they can share any specific points they’ll eventually discuss. Their insights can give you a heads up what to study, so you can get into class with some familiarity with their subject!

  • Write questions you want to ask: Did you pick up interesting points you want to clarify with your teacher during your research? Note them down - they might have answers!

  • Record your questions: Try to practice asking the questions before the class. Listen to your recording. That way, you can see if there are ways to improve your delivery.

Today’s Good Future Tip

Always fact-check! Especially if you’re using a chat assistant! 🔍

Chat assistants like ChatGPT are super powerful tools you can use to supercharge your productivity. They’re not just search engines that gather information for you, but they can give assessments and even help you brainstorm ideas.

However, make sure you fact-check details that come out of ChatGPT and other assistants you use! Here’s why this is important:

- Chat assistants can scour the internet for information. However, sometimes information in the internet can be presented as “fact” even if it’s, say, an opinion in a forum. Chat assistants don’t have the ability to differentiate these all the time, so it helps if you confirm general information you receive.

- Numbers aren’t always accurate. Sometimes, chat assistants need to scour data from PDFs and other files, but the quality of PDFs aren’t guaranteed - especially if they’re scanned from books and other real-life documents. You need to double-check if the numbers provided to you are accurate.

- Sources may or may not exist. Always ask your chat assistants to give you the link where they retrieved the information. You can then use search operators such as site: to look up the information yourself to see if they’ve actually: a.) retrieved the information from the said source, and b.) the information retrieved is accurate.

Add the site:reddit.com operator or simply reddit.com at the end of your search query.
